Business Development Manager (Energy Utilities & Transport) – UK

Due to continued growth, EMR Integrated Solutions has an opportunity for a Business Development Manager to serve the energy and transport sectors based in the UK.

The role of the Business Development Manager is to promote EMR’s portfolio of Operational Telecoms solutions to our existing UK customers and to target new clients. The primary markets of focus are power utilities and national transport operators across the UK.

The individual chosen will lead and support key accounts in the UK with the objective of meeting financial targets and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive accelerated revenue growth and acquire new business by identifying potential opportunities.
  • Build up a profile of each of the target clients, detailing contacts, roles and responsibilities, existing systems used, competitor activity, and opportunities.
  • Agree on short, medium, and long-term objectives for each account and a target list and timescale for new business sectors and customers.
  • Ensure that scheduled reporting is completed with monthly sales meetings and quarterly performance reviews are held to ensure that objectives are being met. Prepare a focused presentation in an agreed format detailing activity and outlook.
  • Work closely with the marketing department to identify and brief on appropriate sales collateral to support the business development process.
  • Proven track record in acquiring new business, including solution sales.
  • Operational Telecoms experience in the energy sector or national transport is desirable.
  • Proven track record of the ability to manage stakeholders in a matrix organisation.
  • Academic qualification in business, engineering, or management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working experience with sales techniques
  • Proficiency with data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting

Instrument Technician – Ireland

Working with industrial sectors as diverse as water, power, utilities, corporate business, broadcasting and public safety organisations, we have a track record stretching back to the early 1980s and a management team with a wealth of industry experience.

This role is suited to an Electrician/ Instrument Technician who has a strong technical background and strong interpersonal skills, and can also demonstrate excellent skills in problem solving and analysis

This position will expose the candidate to many aspects of SCADA and Instrumentation technology and must therefore demonstrate an aptitude and enthusiasm for the installation and support of EMR’s solutions. Candidates must be able to demonstrate methodical and logical approach to installation processes.

The role is predominately site work as EMR’s customers are based through Ireland and the candidate will therefore have the flexibility to travel at short notice.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical support duties, including product configuration and troubleshooting of customer issues.
  • Installation of EMRs products and solutions to a very high level of quality, to budget and on time.
  • Follow manufactures guidelines for installation and maintenance of equipment supplied by EMR
  • Adherence to Method Statements and Risk Assessments
  • Wearing of required PPE at all times
  • Obtain customer sign off of installations
  • Resolution of general maintenance incidents in a timely fashion, either remotely or on site
  • Participate in out of hours support
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with customers.
  • Work as part of a team and also on own initiative.
  • Qualified Electrician/ Instrument Technician.
  • Minimum of 3 experience in installation of instrumentation and electrical products on Water and Waste Water sites e.g. Flow Meters, Level Probes, UV monitors, PH Probes, Turbidity Analysers, Chlorine Analysers etc.
  • Safepass accredited.
  • Full Driver’s License.
  • Good communication and reporting Skills to all levels in an organisation.
  • Strong relationship and people-management skills.
  • Highly organised work approach within a multi-tasking environment

Installation Technician – Ireland
